Our Research

As a large institute, Design Informatics members conduct research across a wide variety of topical areas and issues related to our institute-wide interests in data, design and ethical and responsible practice.

Since being founded in 2014, institute members have engaged in over 100 different research projects. Much of our research is funded by external agencies (research councils, government bodies, charitable trusts, industry) – and as of December 2024 we had been awarded over £50m of funding.
