Participatory and Co-Design
EXPERTISE AREA
Participatory design and co-design refers to approaches to designing new systems, services and environments where those impacted by these newly designed “things” (people, participants, citizens, users) are actively involved a designers and decision makers from the start of the design process. We have a range of expertise on the use of these approaches, formed from decades of experiences of adapting these methods for projects with diverse populations and an increasingly diverse set of topics and issues. A key concern for us is that participatory approaches are used meaningfully, and not in a tokenistic manner.
