Our Institute members have specific expertise around the implications of technology design on children and adolescents. This includes expertise around how to ethically conduct real-world research with children and in schools, the development of methods and techniques that support participatory research with children, and how to design interfaces and systems that are enjoyable, meaningful and enabling for children. Our Institute members also contribute to the Children, Interaction and Design research cluster in the Edinburgh Futures Institute.
