Rethinking Care, Technology and Design

Outputs from this project

TBD

This was funded by a seed-fund to establish collaborations between the University of Copenhagen and University of Edinburgh. Our project focused on establishing collaborations on the topic of care and human-centered technology design. We approached the project by exploring the different work being undertake at the two Universities that are drawing on different critical perspectives related to notions of care in relation to technology design. We explored how autonomous technologies, digital platforms and data are reshaping our approaches to, and understanding of, care across different settings – not just spaces often defined as health or care spaces.

Through the project we ran a series of workshops and staff visits between the institutions, and are developing larger research projects off the back of it.
