Generative Creative Visions

Outputs from this project

The Generative Creative Visions Workshops, held on 25 February 2025, brought together researchers and practitioners from the Creativity, AI, and the Human research cluster at the Edinburgh Futures Institute and the Generative AI Laboratory (GAIL) at the University of Edinburgh. Designed to foster interdisciplinary dialogue, the workshops explored how artificial intelligence can support creative processes while addressing ethical, educational, and human-centred concerns. Three funded projects emerged: The Garden of (Un)Earthly AIs, an immersive installation exploring ethical dilemmas through audience interaction; Sphaerosymphony, a multisensory experience transforming air quality data into sound and visual form; and MIRAI, a research-creation project examining how students use AI in art-making, leading to a Creative AI Manifesto that promotes responsible and reflective integration of AI in creative practice.
